A view from the New Brighton Promenade (Dalmorton Road)
towards Secombe. The tram lines are long gone and have been replaced
with a cycle path. On weekends and Bank Holidays, the prom is crowded
with visitors.

In recent years millions
of pounds have been spent on sea defences. Three groynes were built.
This one at the base of Dalmorton Road. The rock amour was brought in
by ship. Also note the the small wall that allows the sea water to
drain back into the river Mersey.

Sometimes mother nature can not be tamed. High tide

This Art Deco building is the Bright Spot Amusements and has been in
the Wilki family for many years. During WW2 munitions where
manufactured in
the cellars.

One of the big attractions, is the
arrival
of the travelling fun fair. The fair can be found in New Brighton every
Easter and Summer Holiday and at the Wirral Show that normally takes
place in July.
