Quad buke

The Egg Run took place on the 17 March 2002 . The Egg Run is a charitable event providing Easter Eggs and other gifts to children  who are unfortunate and in  hospital over the Easter period. The Event is organised by local motorcycle enthusiasts. Motorcyclists from all over the UK, meet on the New Brighton promenade (kings Parade) from the early hours . Then at 11.00 am, flanked by Police motorcyclists, the large convoy of 2 and 3 wheel vehicles are escorted throughout the Wirral. The convoy takes up to 50 minutes to pass, bringing out crowds of supporters to line the route. On this run, over 60 members of the Police Force and 200 marshals ensured the safety of  all present at the event. At the time of writing this page (19 March 2002) it was reported that over £10k had been collected for the local children.

A Fun Day Out For Merseyside Motor Cycle Police
Many of the riders entered the spirit of the occasion by decorating their machines and wearing fancy dress.  The event was enjoyed just as much by the spectators as the riders.

All types of machines were on display. Noticeable, was the number of scooters on the run, as well as 3 wheelers.
