Where the great ocean liners sail past the promenades..
Sadly, to day visits of the great ocean liners to the New Brighton shore's, are few and far between. However, the QE2 and other  famous ships   visit Liverpool fairly often. A travel company reinstated cruises, departing from Liverpool in 1998. The sight of the Apollo returning from the Med, was only temporary, but was a welcome regular sight.

Central Prom
The Central Promenade has changed very little over the last 45 years. On a fine day trippers from Liverpool and Wirral come to New Brighton for a good day out. In the background you can see the promenade pier which is sadly long gone.

Central Beach
Oh! for a dip from Central Beach. This beach was the most popular because of it's location. Speedboat trips form the waters edge, was a never to be forgotten experience.
